NOBLE HEART
MEDIA, INC. is an
S-Corporation founded by Camille Maurine and Dr. Lorin
Roche in February, 2007. We are currently working on the
"Flight of Angels Project" – a book and documentary
film about the miraculous survival of Israel in the first
few weeks of her existence in May 1948. The focus is on a
group of four young pilots – an American, a South
African, and two Israelis – who spread their wings
over the country and held off the Army of Egypt.
Noble Heart is dedicated to telling stories that inspire
and heal. The name comes from our affectionate term
honoring Captain Lou Lenart (USMC, Ret.), our “noble
heart” who, against all odds, put his life on the
line to help when it was so desperately needed.
Lou Lenart is the "last man standing" of those four pilots,
and he is actively working with us, daily, to get the story
told. Noble Heart Media is also producing the documentary.
In addition to
Captain Lenart, two other pilots who flew missions in
support of Israel in 1948 are collaborating and ready,
willing, and able to tell their stories on
film:
– Al
Schwimmer was awarded the prestigious Israel Prize in 2006 (see also here). Al is an aircraft engineer, and in
1947-48 was the maintenance and logistics mastermind who
helped organize the airlifts to sustain the new Jewish
state.
– Coleman Goldstein (everyone calls him Coley) was a
WWII bomber pilot who flew rescue and supply missions in
the Negev in 1948, often landing at night, on dirt strips,
to pick up the wounded.

“Destiny”
the Documentary Film – reveals Lou’s personal
journey, the journey of the heart. The film follows the
adventures of the pilots from Los Angeles to New York,
Rome, Czechoslovakia, and Israel. Interviews with Lou and
other key personnel about the 1948 story will be woven with
historical footage, photos, and beautifully filmed, poetic
recreations of Lou’s memories and visions. We see the
film as a 100 minute documentary, with feature film
production values.
“Destiny”
the Book, by Lorin
Roche, Ph.D. and Camille Maurine – narrative
nonfiction based on Lou’s life story. It will read
like an action-adventure novel and as a gripping personal
memoir. From Lou’s boyhood on a farm in Hungary, to
immigrating to the U.S. and becoming a fighter pilot in the
Marines, to his service to the nation of Israel, the book
traces the forces that shaped his destiny.
Collectively, the book and documentary constitute our
Flight of Angels Project. The Israel Air Force is endorsing
the Project and offering generous support.
